This initiative has been driven by the strong vision of Spark* NTNU leader, Siri Mostad Larsen, whose commitment has been crucial in making this expansion a reality. The initiative has been developed in close collaboration with Engage, which has played a central role in enabling and supporting the establishment in Ålesund.
As part of this initiative, we have established a dedicated local team consisting of four full-time students. The team includes a local head of Spark* Ålesund, two advisors who will support and mentor students working on business ideas, and a local lead for Boost Henne Ålesund, reinforcing our commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs and building an inclusive innovation environment.
By bringing Spark* to Ålesund, we aim to lower the threshold for developing ideas, support early-stage projects, and empower even more students across campuses to explore the potential of their work.
We believe Spark* Ålesund will play a key role in strengthening the innovation ecosystem in Ålesund and the Sunnmøre region. By connecting talent, ideas, and resources, and through continued collaboration with Engage and other key stakeholders, we aim to foster stronger collaboration between academia, industry, and society.
