Engage at NTNU – Centre for Engaged Education through Entrepreneurship is all set to organize the sustainability challenge competitions on 20 March 2024, and you are invited to participate!  

This competition is the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your sustainability ideas and win a cash prize of 7500 NOK.  

The sustainability challenge competitions will consist of two stages. Below, you will find the details for each stage. In case you need more information regarding these competitions, we invite you to join our ongoing “Interactive Open Forum – Idea Pitching” on February 29th, 2024, at Gruva, Gløshaugen, from 16:30 to 18:00. Stage 1: Idea Submission  

– Participants are required to submit their sustainable business ideas
– Deadline for submission: 12 March, 2024 (Submission link: https://nettskjema.no/a/403769)
– Screening and selection of top 5 ideas by 15th March 

Stage 2: Pitching – Date: 20th March (Venue: Gruva, Gløshaugen. Time: 12:00 – 16:00) 

– The top 5 teams selected after the screening process will be invited to pitch their ideas  
– Each team will have 5 minutes to pitch their idea to a panel of experts on “sustainability day” 

Guideline for submission and key criteria for the evaluation of Sustainability Ideas and Pitching   

To help you get started, here’s a guideline for submitting your ideas in a short format of no more than five pages: (Submission link: https://nettskjema.no/a/403769

1. Clearly state the problem that you want to solve and explain how it connects to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).  

2. Describe your business concept in a way that shows how it seeks to solve the identified problem.  

3. Provide a description of your target customer and estimate the size of the market today and in the future.  

4. Identify the target market and indicate the part of the market that your product or service will reach first.  

5. Explain your value proposition in a way that distinguishes your product or service from the competition and directly addresses the needs of your target market.  

6. Present key revenue and cost drivers that will make your business profitable.  

7. Conduct a thoughtful analysis of the social, economic, and environmental impact of your business concept.  

8. Provide evidence that your business concept is feasible by drawing conclusions based on everything presented and validating the concept.
