Norwegian roads are economically important routes for seafood. Because the product loses considerable value if delivered late, the reliable operation of these roads is important to the seafood industry.

The University of Washington (UW), the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), The Arctic University of Norway (UiT) and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (NPRA) are sponsoring a student design challenge to support the Norwegian seafood industry.

Who can participate?

The challenge is open to students from a range of disciplines. All students from NTNU are eligible to apply.

Travel, accommodations and most meals are covered..

The Challenge

Participating students will work in teams to develop innovative solutions to improve the transportation of seafood on two critical routes. One is on Skjervøy, north of Tromsø, and the other on Frøya, west of Trondheim.
